Amongst other things, we measure the amount of amniotic fluid, the size and weight of the baby, which we compare to an average growth chart for foetuses and potential previous scans you have had. Additionally, we measure the flow in the umbilical cord, to measure if the baby is receiving sufficient nourishment.<\/p>\n<p>You are also able to find out the gender of your baby, however, if this is not desired, there is no issue in avoiding this.<\/p>\n<p>Following the scan, you receive pictures to take with you home, both in colour and black-and-white. If desired, you can also receive the pictures by email.
